101st Airborne Patch White Tongue 'Type 6'

101st Airborne Patch White Tongue 'Type 6'

The 101st Airborne Division — the "Screaming Eagles"— is a U.S. Army modular infantry division trained for air assault operations. During World War II, it was renowned for action during the Normandy Landings, Operation Market Garden, and in the Battle of the Bulge.

This beautiful high quality emblem is a 1/1 reproduction from the White Tongue.
There were numerous variations of the 101st Airborne Division's patch during WWII. One was similar to the standard issue patch, but one manufacturer made the eagles with white tongues rather than red. Whether this was an accident or intentional is unknown. Regardless, these were issued and worn.
Perfect for re-enactment or just to add it to your collection.

Comes in a branded polybag.
Tab is separate from the eagle.
